Shakuhachi is a kind of woodwind instrument in China. Originated from the Tang of China, it was introduced to Japan, but after that period of time after the blank period, the ancestor form of the present form was established around the Edo era from the Kamakura period.
This flute is made by using the root of bamboo, including seven bamboo knots. The player blows a breath on the upper entrance and gives out a sound.
The contemporary Shakuhachi's performances are still traditional, but they are also arranged for pops and rocks.
